‘Godna Kala’ is the generic name for ancient tattoo art. The Godna art we used in the flag/ toran is from Sarguda district of Chhattisgarh. The Gond tribe of the area has a long history of tattooing a full-body based on a life event. The designs are inspired from Santhi godna, Phoolwari godna, Karela saani godna, Karuna phool godna, Chhati godna, machi mudi godna. Now that body tattoos are getting extinct, the women of the tribe are using designs to paint on fabric and other materials. All the paintings are done by the female of Gond tribe. The Toran can be used for decorating doors, window, cars, bikes and so on.
The product is hand washable. After washing do not put it in direct sunlight as color may fade. Torans are 100% bio-degradable
